"If you have built castles in the air, your work need not be lost; that is where they should be. Now put the foundations under them."

THE ILLUSION OF OUR SEPARATION...
Sifting through countless piles of rubble, what is reflected by centuries of struggle.
Concrete jungle that never has been and never will be.
Us vs Them. Only we, the simple citizens of earth... From raging rivers of water and fire she gave us birth-the power and hunger to search for meaning and self-worth.
Wars on the outside only physical reminders of the war within...
Trying to seek the balance between the yang and the yin.
Opposition, a mysterious position. A manifestation of
THE ILLUSION OF OUR SEPARATION!
-LYNX, Lyrics from 'Grain of Sand'

Never Look Back...
I've recently been commissioned to make my friends Sara and Jeremiah their wedding rings!
I was looking to brush up on my stonesetting techniques, and I just dug up these old pictures of some of my class projects from a few years back at the Jewelry Institute!
Even though my personal asthetic isn't present until that last three photographs, I found it a very interesting dive into the past and it also reminded me about some techniques I had forgotten!
I thought I would share....
Everything is made completely from recycled silver that I melted down and casted or fabricated!
They say never look back... but every once in a while it can help you gain perspective and remind you of how far you've come! ...if you can do it without getting stuck... =)
Enjoy!

Most discoveries are made by accident.
A new impulse usually has to wait till our guard is down
and our habitual views momentarily dimmed
in order to break through into consciousness.
...
It looks like an accident.
Or an inspiration.
But it is really an organic principle
trying to find a soft spot to sprout in.
It takes a long time to learn that nothing is wasted.

Rattler
I just finished this Custom Rattlesnake Rattle Necklace
made completely from recycled silver!
I melted scraps of silver down and pulled this wire myself
before soldering it into this delicate 'Snake Bite' setting for a custom order.
I'm pretty happy with the result,
except that I'm having trouble deciding which side should be the front!
What do you think?
